Catherine the Great and Islam

became a pillar of a conservative imperial order, ie her government even endorsed Islamic laws in relation to marriage, family and public morality. This was of interest in that Islam has always been a part of Russian history.

I am at my best, Freudian

and somehow that translates in my being Islamic... Everything seems smart about it.  It is intellectual, practice is ongoing and Abraham is all relevance to the practice.  The beauty story tells us how to make decisions, not unlike Freud, encompassing the psychological!

I was 45

When I was diagnosed and that means struck down.  Just had a dream about a tornado hitting a prophetic group I was with, in their temple.

There were many correlations!

Yet the worst is how one is looked at, wearing a scarf.  American isn't like that.  Is it the beast, the darkness, Jung talks the shadow self.  In theory to speculate about is fascinating.

The Koran

The only important reference for,
Islamic law and the reading is music, how music moves is a way to think.  I think like now, just the practice alone, one then loses the need to, think at all.  Something replaces such mechanics, one
can't describe, beyond description.  Scribes may know, prophets also.  A musician who goes beyond playing,
an instrument or a singer already the notes there, pre-hearsed.

Ramadan

This is the most prevalent, the idea

the making of a month long fast for

the Koran says to do so, to fast and

Why?

There is much to a fast.

Purity...of the body and mind,

mindfulness as practical tool and to

celebrate existence, a Sufi drama

in dance or of the universal motion.

And of an order in or of the Spirit.

Eastern

In New York City, I lived in Queens struggling with psychotic episodes, close together.

How I found my way, the Koran.

Mohammed Ali

For a Muslim, the all American Ali, a boxer, an Olympian...one wonders as I do often, how the world and especially those who are Muslim, see us.

We celebrate him, to me somewhat too mildly as Muslim-American, yet new all the same.

To celebrate and even see on television a service, amazing news in religion, a first as far as I know.

Happiness work is a big push in mental health.  Sometimes it breaks
through universally, for all.

Are we better together?  NOW....

Abraham and the primary

of the story, his entanglement with all known thought, today.

How to even make a simple business decision,

may even make the list of

everyday------a Decision,

forever indelible with civilization.

How we engage that story on a daily requirement, basis.

Are we then the reenactment?

How lovely history really is!.

hearing about bin Laden, surrealistic

Flagg they called the author at the Writer's Place association,

or Library friends,

last week.

He was hidden even as an associate professor asked

to decipher the tapes,

Ballet

like!

I studied with Robert Taylor and the professional dance troupe.

in Denver and across the country known for a modern very elegant,

yet an outlook, different from a deeper interpretive almost psychological engagement.

My first Sufi

workshop, I think was in Winter Park.

My outfit for dance, belly dance was silver and an off white with

beads all over it, matching.

I had symbols and I had performed at a restaurant,

not long before.

The athletic regime of the schedule, get up early,

stretch and begin a sequence of movements that

the instructor a well known dancer, gave; practice more,

then a light lunch, vegetarian, mostly salad at the buffet.

Walks around the resort were of the smell of wood burning stoves in winter,

the road.
